Meet Jenni Van Pelt, Collage’s New Client Relations Coordinator
We wanted to take time to welcome Jenni Van Pelt, our new Client Relations Coordinator at Collage. She is an amazing lady and we know all of our clients are going to love her in the Kearney office.
Jenni, what are you looking forward to the most at Collage?
I am really looking forward to developing relationships with our clients. I’m so thankful for the people in my own life who have supported me at times and made me feel loved and accepted so I can’t wait to pass that on to our clients. I’m also really excited to connect with area high school students as one of the Sexual Health and Relationship Education presenters.
What attracted you to Collage and your new role here?
The whole idea of “Creating beauty from the unexpected.” I love the promise of this organization to be a safe place, a place of hope and restoration. No matter how we may feel as women, the truth is that we aren’t alone and we don’t have to make decisions by ourselves. We’re in this journey together.
What is your professional background?
I worked as a cardiovascular tech at Good Sam and so now I’m excited to delve into other matters of the heart.
Tell us about your family.
I have been married to my wonderful husband, Jared, for 6 years. Don’t tell him I told you, but I first met him when he was getting his hair highlighted by my sister. We have a very handsome little boy, Crew, who is 3 and an energetic standard black poodle whose name is Tuesday.
What are your hobbies outside of work?
I enjoy playing and laughing with my family! I also love running, eating, watching movies, scrap booking and gardening!
What do you love most about living in central Nebraska and/or being involved in the community of Kearney?
I love the people and farming community. We love our huge family (there’s like 70 of us), so living in Kearney allows us to be close to everyone. Oh, and I really love Runza so if we lived in any other state I would not be able to have my Runza fix as often as I do.
Do you have a favorite quote or life verse?
“Promise me you’ll always remember: You’re braver than you believe, and stronger than you seem, and smarter than you think.” -Winnie the Pooh
What are you the most hopeless at doing?
Unfortunately for my poor husband, I’m not very romantic. I try, but it never seems to work out. (Don’t ask.) But thankfully, my husband is really good at it.
What were the last 3 books you read?
The Circle Maker by Mark Batterson, Trophy Child by Ted Cunningham, and my all-time favorite, Redeeming Love by Francine Rivers—I’ve read it like 7 times.
If you could eat one food for the rest of your life and not get sick of it, what would it be?
My mom’s cherry pie with the Target reduced fat vanilla ice cream. Trust me! It’s really good and you can’t tell the difference.
