what will my appointment look like?

  • how long will it take?

The appointment will be 45 minutes - 1 hour with a licensed medical professional.

  • can I bring someone with me?

Absolutely! You can bring whoever you'd like.

  • what will I do when I get there?

First, we'll need a valid photo ID and you'll fill out a couple of forms. Then you'll provide a urine sample that will be used to run the STD tests, so please come with a full bladder.

You'll have a chance to share with a medical professional how you're feeling and ask the questions you may have about STDs.

  • how long until I get the results?

It typically takes about 5-7 days for the results to come back from the lab.

When we receive them, we'll give you a call. If the results are positive, we'll set up an appointment to have you come in for treatment. If they're negative, we'll discuss your results and discharge instructions over the phone.

  • what happens when I come in for treatment?

If you have Chlamydia, Gonorrhea, or both, we'll treat you accordingly.

A few things we'll ask of you are: to stay a few minutes after you take the medication to make sure you don't have a reaction and to refrain from sexual activity for 7-10 days to prevent re-infection.

  • how much does it cost?

Because of the incredibly generous people in our communities, all of our services are complimentary. That means donors give hundreds of thousands of dollars each year to provide these services at no cost to you!
